How am I charged for domestic and international long distance calls when using Mitel/ShoreTel phones?

Monthly telephone rates include domestic long distance costs to the United States and Canada.

Long Distance Codes are not required for domestic (within the U.S. or Canada) calls, but are required for International telephone calls. International calls will be charged to the department based on the long distance code entered.

Calling Long Distance using the Long Distance Code

Dial 9 + 011 + Country Code + Phone Number
(Example: Calling Hotel Basel in Switzerland. 9+011+41 61 264 68 00)
You will hear "Please enter an account code"
Enter your long distance code and the call completes (will begin ringing the party)
