"No-Pay" EPAF Information

There are two types of No-Pay EPAFs. One includes IT Services (Email, eduroam, Box, etc) and the other does not. For more details and cost, see Types of No-Pay EPAFs.

General Information

Employees who are associated with Utah State University but are not paid with University funds, AND need access to USU systems to do the required job duties, may request to have the department they are associated with create an A# and a No-Pay EPAF with IT Services.

The department for whom the employee is working with or for is responsible to submit the no-pay electronic personnel action form (EPAF). The department will create an A-number, if one doesn't exist, and submit the No-Pay EPAF.

When requesting a No-Pay EPAF with IT Services, enter "opt-in to IT Services" in the comment section on the No-Pay EPAF form.  Once the EPAF is approved and signed off by the Human Resources office, accounts for email may be created and access to other services may be granted.

When the assignment is finished, the department will create another EPAF to end the position. The EPAF goes through a Department Head approval process, then HR will do the final approval and apply it into Self-Service Banner. Once the EPAF has been processed by HR, Information Technology may de-activate the email account according to standard policies.
