If you are a new University Staff or Faculty member, you will need to set a Strong Password and enroll in Microsoft MFA. It requires you to know your A-Number and have a personal/recovery email or mobile phone designated in your Banner record. If you do not have a personal/recovery email or mobile phone, please call the IT Service Desk at 435-797-HELP (4357) or submit a photo ID displaying your full name at https://passwordreset.usu.edu. If you do not know your A-Number, select "I don't know my A-Number."
New Employees Should:
- Go to myid.usu.edu and click "I don't know my password" or "Reset my password"
- Enter your A-number and First Name and click Continue. Then a confirmation message will appear, click "Go to Microsoft Password Reset"
- Enter your USU username (anumber@aggies.usu.edu) and the characters in the CAPTCHA
- Select your recovery method and follow the prompts. Note: Email is enabled by default but other methods will not be available until they are added in your account's Authentication Methods
- Create a new password that meets the Password Guidelines
Next Steps: complete additional account set up options for Challenge Questions, recovery email addresses, and Security Phrase and Delegates by clicking "Fix Now" on the notification messages in myid.usu.edu.
