Android 11 and Above: eduroam setup instructions
Follow these steps to configure your device to connect to the eduroam network on devices running Android 11 and above.
- In a web browser, visit https://eduroam.usu.edu
- Tap download to download the app from the Play Store
- Tap install, once the install finishes click the back arrow at the bottom of the screen. This will take you back to your browser where you can continue the process.
- Once back at eduroam.usu.edu in your browser tap “Agree and Continue”
- Provide an easily identifiable name for your device and click "Sign In"
- Save the network to your phone
- Tap “Yes, App will configure and connect"
- Allow location access
- On the next screen tap "Next"
- Follow the prompts to log in using your Anumber@aggies.usu.edu and password
- On the next screen tap "Next"
Tap "Allow" - Tap "Next"
Tap "Done" - It will bring up the following page, close this window
- Open the Settings App
- Tap Network and Internet
- Tap Wi-Fi
- Tap eduroam, this will then connect to the eduroam network
Android 10 and Below: eduroam setup instructions
Follow these steps to configure your device to connect to the eduroam network on devices running Android 10 and below.
1. In a web browser, visit https://eduroam.usu.edu
2. Use the provided link to download SecureW2 JoinNow app app from the Google Play Store. After installing the app, return to the browser with your back button and click "Agree and continue".
3. SecureW2 app will launch and automatically download the eduroam configuration information.
4. Click Next to continue the installer
5. A browser window will launch for authentication.
6. If you previously had eduroam or USU-guest wireless networks configured on your device, the installer will prompt and walk you through removing them to ensure a stable and secure WiFi connection. Click continue to launch your wireless preferences.
7. If needed, click on saved networks to remove previous eduroam and USU-guest configurations.
8. Tap on eduroam to bring up options
9. Tap Forget to remove stored eduroam configuration.
10. Tap on USU-guest, and select Forget when prompted.
11. Your device will now attempt to connect to eduroam.
12. If you are in range of the eduroam network, you will be connected automatically. If you are not within range of eduroam, you will see an error indicating you could not connect to the network. Your device is setup and will connect the next time you are in range of the eduroam network.
