Student Ticket Managment Portal

Through the Student Ticket Management interface, Event Managers may:

Create an event, including

  • Name of event
  • Event date
  • Date/time reservations open
  • Date/time Reservations close
  • Date/time unclaimed tickets become available to any student group (optional)
  • Customized confirmation page along with email confirmation notification
  • Allocate tickets base on student groups. Manager may also reallocate tickets as event registration is occurring
  • Monitor the number tickets reserved and the number of tickets available through the Event Management Dashboard at https://studenttickets.usu.edu

 

 

Once the event is created, ticket management complete unless the event manager desires to change ticket allocations.  Tickets are automatically open for reservation based on the Reservation Open date/time and will auto-close on the date/time of the Reservation Close.

 

Create a new event:

  1. Click Ticket Management
  2. then click New - to create a new event

  3. Build the event
    • Event Name - This will appear when a student enters the system to select an event to attend.  This will also appear on the confirmation page and confirmation email.
    • Category - select the category for the event.  Students are required to select a category when reserving a ticket.
    • Event Date (optional) - We strongly encourage the date of the event be entered, unless the event is occurring over multiple days.
    • Reservations Open - This is the date and time the system will automatically allow students to reserve a ticket for the event.
    • Reservation Close - The date and time the system will auto-close reservations.
    • Unused Tickets Available (Optional) - When using this option, the date and time entered should be within the Reservation Open and Reservation Close dates.  This option allows for any unused to tickets to be claimed by any student, regardless of their class rank.
    • Active - If the active field is unchecked, the event will not display to students as an option for ticket reservations.
    • Event Description & Instructions - This is a full html editor, allowing for font size, color and editing features.  Images may also be included, if desired.  The information entered in this section will be displayed on the confirmation page as well as the confirmation email sent to the student.
    • Tickets - allows the ticket manager to distribute tickets based on class rank.  As tickets are reserved, the ticket manager may also monitor the number of tickets claimed and tickets remaining.  The ticket manager may also redistribute ticket allocations if necessary.
